One word to describe this drama "Masterpiece"
From the cast,director,writer,staff everyone in the production. It is such a masterpiece that is worth watching. Their acting is so on point. I love the cinematography. The message it wants to portray. His(Ji-Soo) story represents the story of almost all the teenagers in the world. Struggling how to survive in this harsh society.
Getting to see a glimpse of how this drama became a masterpiece is so thrilling. Really, it's a work of art, in my opinion. Everything was well played and really balanced.
The writing and the premise is already a gem itself. How the director embodied the story and made it into something like this is really mindblowing. The dialogue of each character and how complex they are, how different yet pursues their own goals and wants. All the nuances of the story made sense. How every scene is staged and shot is another form of film art itself.
The actors, despite being rookies and young, gave justice to the hard work of the writer, director and all the staff. It's hard to imagine these young actors were able to illicit such emotions and personas that are completely way off their own personalities. Jung Dabin has been in the screen for a while ever since she is a child but its so refreshing to see her give life to Minhee's role and take on a very different genre. Park Joohyun and Nam Yoonsu are rookie actors, we haven't seen much of them before but the dynamics they brought to the drama is something that can't be put into words. Such smart acting.
And of course, Kim Donghee. Every drama he stars in, no matter the role, he brings out a different character everytime and its hard to imagine what his real personality is like outside of his roles. Like he said, it's truly like watching a different person and that's how we can tell that he is a brilliant actor. The future is bright for this boy.
Overall, the drama is a masterpiece. It makes you think of who you really are and how far you can go for something you want. It makes you reflect on your choices and its collateral damage. 100/10.
LITERALLY JUST WATCHED UNTIL EP 2 AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW I LOVE HOW THE CHARACTERS ARE UNAPOLOGETIC WHICH IS WHAT I REALLY LOOK FOR IN K SERIES. I ALSO KNEW THIS WAS GONNA BE ANOTHER TOP SERIES FOR ME KNOWING THE LEAD CAME FROM SKY CASTLE AND ITAEWIN CLASS WHICH ALSO HAVE UNAPPOLOGETIC CHARACTERS. I JUST LOVE HOW THIS SHOW IS ALSO RELATABLE IN A SENSE THAT THE CHARACTERS AREN'T SUGARCOATED AND THAT IF THEY HAVE SOME EVIL IN THEM THEY DON'T TRY TO HIDE IT. IT'S ALSO WEIRD HOW IT'S MY FIRST TIME TO ACTUALLY RELATE WITH THE LEAD GIRL NOT WITH HER LIFE BUT JUST LIKE THE WAY SHE HANDLES THINGS (I WOULD FIND MYSELF THINKING THE SAME STEPS SHE WOULD CONSEQUENTLY DO IF I WERE IN HER PLACE). PLEASE SUPPORT OTHER WORKS BY THE ACTORS!! AND IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED SKY CASTLE AND ITAEWON CLASS YET PLEASE DO! MOST ESPECIALLY SKY CASTLE 💚🧡🧡 SORRY FOR THE CAPS I'VE JUST NEVER BEEN THIS EXCITED IN A LONG TIME SINCE WATCHING SKY CASTLE AND ITAEWON CLASS

Ive watched this series in one go. this show kinda like the end of the fucking world but with asian role stereotype. I feel their despair, discouragement as a teenager. It well portrayed how adult around them couldnt function as a responsible figure for them. Isolation, despair, intense, dark, twist, hesitation, and grey-area of human being and all category above. i cant explain how i love this series and cant wait for next seasonnn!!!!
This is the first drama that makes me angry at one character after 2 ep consecutively..and im talking about gyuri..that girl really mess things up..one of fresh, agresive ,realistic drama..👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
