"Maya is ( one of ) the best 3D software on the market"
Blender fanboys: ASSEMBLE THE ARMY!!!!!
hard to afford
Yaw guys I will tell you this from my 2 years of experience.. Maya has some technical flaws that needs some serious fixing:-
-Maya crashes so unexpectedly and often when in the middle of doing your project.
-Maya sometimes has missing tools in their UI particularly Xgen, and every time you need to always go through their program files and script files to fix it which could really be complicated.
-Maya does not fully utilize your hardware resources which is only the Processor(CPU) and RAM.
-Maya doesn't work very well with its external plugins unlike its brother 3DS Max which works great with Plugins which has much more plugins compatible with Max
the easiest software to learn
Bro I am using maya 2020 software but l want sort film animation so how can use Maya
Short version … it takes years.
Maya is an old piece of crap… old code, old core, old software concepts, old way of thinking… the only reason it's popular is it got good marketing at the time when 3D app demand was high with few options… & it's hard for many studios to switch now since they've built all their custom tools to work with Maya so the entire pipeline would need an overhaul. I tried Maya & let me tell you the radial mouse menu is a total nightmare & I would rather gouge my eyes out with a teaspoon than have to use that thing on a regular basis lol… just that alone is enough to avoid this Frankenstein piece of software.. autodesk keeps releasing new versions but it's their same old pig with a new makeup every year
Can I use maya on Nvidea 940 mx 4gb
Is Sidefx Houdini Hard to Learn?
Next video, please
Hard to learn is Houdini. Maya is easy, I don't like blender, but it's because I'm already very comfortable in Maya, besides, blender has nothing that really is a quality leap, as it can be from Maya to Houdini.
Learning new app is like learning new language so for me all 3d apps are same
So informative💕💕💕💕👍👍👍👍👍
Why dou talk about non sense dumb shit. Have you heard pipeline
Looks like you loves Ubisoft… Just like me
I wish it could be harder in fact cause modeling is just bare bones.
This Channel has a optimal tittle because it's very inspirational learn the different options
Maya's not easy to learn. Consider the sheer number of node types and tools. And take a look at the API– MEL is a really unusual language that doesn't follow the conventions you expect from any other language.
GOOD WORK BRO
AM STILL LEARNING MAYA I HOPE I CAN SHARE MY WORK WITH YOU FROM TIME TO TIME
Maya and Max are so easy to learn. I hard the hardest time learning blender.
I using maya for rigging & animation and this is pure gold software. I will never change maya for anything else
MAYA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to give $ 1000 how to avoid seeing the childish comment of blender fanboys.
really usefull
i need video : maya vs blender ?
Maya is awesome and blender 2.8 too 😀
My 1st 3D software was Maya. If you understand you can learn fast.
The difficult part for me is UV mapping, and have no knowledge in Rigging.
If you want to learn Maya(Free), check the youtube channel – Animation Method, you wont get bored.
I recently decided to do some brushing up on my Maya skills. I've worked professionally with Maya since 2001, but for the last several years I've switched to… another software. So I figured out I must refresh my Maya skills in order not to lose them.
Couple of days after – It's beautiful really, I love it. Modelling in this thing is so primitive it somehow brings out tons of warm childhood memories. Granted – memories of my father cursing while constantly having to fix our family's crappy soviet-made Moskvitch, but hey – now I feel connected to the guy on a deeper level, I now truly understand what it was for him to pointlessly try and fix an out of date piece of tech 😀 … when the iron curtain fell the first thing he did, was get a western-made car, i now understand how he felt 😀
Joking aside – seriously, on a basic level nowadays even free Sketchup has transformation controls, snapping and overall UI – better than Maya. It is not that Maya is that difficult to learn, it's just that Maya's UI is hopelessly out of date, and that is why it's difficult for new users. Even simple tasks feel slow and difficult, simple modelling feels as if you're doing something super complicated, like freaking open heart surgery. Nothing is intuitive, you have to be deliberate about things and to constantly click all over the place.
It's not a big deal once you get used to it but for G's sake – it's 2020, I want to be focusing on the art, not WORKING the software.
I remember it feeling super cool when I started with Maya 20 years ago, but UI design concepts have since evolved greatly, while Maya is firmly frozen in the past.
Could you give us a thumbnail link? i like this art
Try everything …. don't limit yourself. Try out each software yourself and see which one feels good to use. You will be spending years in it so be careful which you choose as your main tool and remember that no single one will do everything better than the rest 😀
I use Blender + Zbrush + Substance + many others regularly and have used Maya for years
But ….
1) If you want to make games …. learn Blender first as you can hit the ground running much faster. Then later on learn Autodesk for more advanced and niche features which Blender still cannot do or simply will take you more time to do in Blender. You will be surprised how much faster and better Blender is for many tasks.
2) If you want to do VFX for freelance or smaller studios learn Blender or C4D or Houdini or Maya or Max
3) If you want to work in TV/Movies learn Maya or Houdini
4) If you want to work for a games company learn Maya or 3ds Max + Blender
5) If you want to make your own content and have already learned other 3d apps then learn Blender as it is a brilliant supplement to other packages.
Almost everyone should learn Zbrush and Substance Painter.
Specialising in modelling or animation or lighting or some other part of VFX is smart if you want to find work. Be a master at one thing. If you are a master at many things you will always have work.
I still remember getting frustrated on Blender's right-click select back then, but as I recently learned Maya for myself, it's quite easy to use…
Compared to Blender ? Not at all
Maya's learning curve is no joke! I tried to learn Maya when I was in middle school 😓
no it is not
I'm begin with Blender 🙂
Can you do a video on character creation plugins that can be used for Blender?
